The Three Mouseketeers
The 3 of us
The mouseketeers
A revolution without ears
The Mickey Mouse
The Donald Duck,
Lets not forget the pluto pup
We laugh a lot
As you can see
We’re happy now
As we can be
We share a gift
As given to few
A talent wanted
And sought anew
We share a gift
Of special sound
Of love and care
Where friends abound
When we walk in
The air will sing
They all join in
And make a ring
Kick up our heels
And reach the sky
Just like the apple
In mumma’s pie
Its 3 for one
And one for all
And I thank the love
That makes us tall.

This was written when I worked in the childrens’ ward
I can’t remember all three children, but 2 I really remember. One was Lily, she was 4 years old Aboriginal kid who had a stomach parasite that would kill her…she was a climber and we would find her all over the hospital.
The other was Rachelle, she was a very very bad diabetic who was allergic to regular insulin, she eventually became mentally and physically retarded from too many Diabetic comas…I loved Rachelle, she followed me everywhere in the hospital and I eventually befriended her family and was part of her life for many many years.
