The Sun Shone All Day
The sun shone all day
Flowers stretched and breathed
Waters curled and rolled and twisted
And rippled
Tress waved and bowed and trembled
Clouds performed endlessly and
Breath-takingly
Winds teased and laughed and riffled
The World
The moon silvered and sparkled the
Earth
Stars took their nocturnal shapes
Steadfast and true
The Flowers
The Waters
The Trees
The Clouds
The Winds
The Moon
The Stars
Worked unceasingly, unendingly,
Unencurably
Lovely
By Wanda Stafford
…And no one noticed!
I love this poem…it was written while I was in Florida with my Auntie Rosemary who was a Quadraplegic…I would have to give her the credit for the majority of this poem…
