About Wanda

Wanda has exhibited in Galleries, Café’s and Hotels stretching from Wollongong New South Wales to Townsville Queensland.

Wanda has exhibited in many local Exhibitions including Blackheath Art Society, The Rodo Festival Art Exhibition and the Blue Mountains Art Company group Exhibitions. 3 months as principal Artist at I FORART SPACE at Ashcrofts Restaurant. Also a variety of pieces at the Mountain Ridge Cafe, Katoomba.

Her primary medium is watercolours. She describes her art as ‘unbound, organic and bold.’ Wanda states ‘I enjoy the use of watercolor because of the fluidity and knowing I can create a diverse ensemble throughout a piece. Hand-made deckled paper is the first element I use when painting with watercolour, it gives a distinctive character that allows the work to breathe and take form.’

Recently Wanda has been enjoying large acrylic paintings and also the detailed control of pencil and pastel drawings. She gains inspiration from her immediate surrounds, widespread travel and the graceful observation of people.  Many of her pieces have sold in a vast span of professional and private collections, including commissioned work. Wanda has also had her Art and Poetry Published in 2008.

With over 200 paintings sold, in acrylic, watercolour and pastel it is a wonder that she is able to enjoy the awe-inspiring location where she now lives, the Blue Mountains NSW.
